Privacy Policy
1. Controller
The controller responsible for data processing under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is:
Maurice Kleindienst
Weserstraße 16 A
34125 Kassel
Germany
Email: hello@mapzio.de
2. Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted by an external hosting provider. When you visit this website, the hosting provider automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These include:
- IP address of the accessing device
- Date and time of access
- Name and URL of the file accessed
- Website from which access was made (referrer URL)
- Browser used and, where applicable, your computer's operating system
This processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, arising from our legitimate interest in ensuring the stable and secure operation of our IT systems. The data is deleted as soon as it is no longer required for the purpose for which it was collected.
3. Cookies and analytics
This website uses Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland ("Google"), only if you actively consent to it via the cookie banner. Google Analytics does not load, and no analytics cookies are set, until you click "Accept all" or separately enable "Analytics" under "Customize". You can withdraw your consent at any time, with effect for the future, using the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of this website.
If you consent, Google Analytics processes pseudonymous usage data such as pages visited, time spent on the site, approximate location (derived from an IP address that is shortened/anonymized before storage), referring website, and browser and device type. This data helps us understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. The legal basis for this processing is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR); you may withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.
Google Analytics data may be processed on servers operated by Google, including in the United States. Google is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, which the European Commission has recognized as providing an adequate level of data protection for such transfers. Data is retained for 14 months by default (Google Analytics' standard setting) before being automatically deleted, unless we configure a different retention period.
Your cookie preference itself (whether you accepted or rejected analytics) is stored in your browser's local storage, not as a cookie, and is strictly necessary for remembering your choice — it does not require separate consent. Fonts on this website are served locally from our own server; no connection is made to Google Fonts or other third-party font providers, regardless of your cookie choice.
You can also prevent Google Analytics from collecting data in your browser generally by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
4. Contacting us by email
If you contact us by email, the data you provide (your email address and, where applicable, your name and phone number) is stored by us in order to process your inquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR. The data is deleted as soon as it is no longer required to process your inquiry.
5. Links to the Mapzio app
This website links to the Mapzio application at app.mapzio.de. Registration, sign-in, and use of the application are governed by the app's separate privacy policy. This privacy policy applies only to this marketing website.
6. Your rights
You have the right at any time to request information about the personal data we hold about you, its origin and recipients, and the purpose of its processing, as well as a right to rectification, restriction, or erasure of this data. You also have a right to object to processing and a right to data portability. You can contact us at any time using the address given above regarding these or any other questions about personal data.
7. Right to lodge a complaint
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent data protection supervisory authority — for example, the Hessian Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (Hessischer Beauftragter für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit) — if you believe that the processing of your personal data violates the GDPR.
8. Changes to this privacy policy
We reserve the right to amend this privacy policy to ensure it always complies with current legal requirements.
